She was born on April 7, 1945, to Lloyd and Lois (Bowman) Keller. She graduated from Susquenita High School in 1963 and Elizabethtown College in 1967. Nancy continued her education and received her master’s in education after she began her teaching career. Nancy was a gifted elementary school teacher and excelled in promoting childhood self-esteem. She loved children both in and out of her classroom. She retired from Neshaminy School District in Bucks County in 1996. Music was a huge part of Nancy’s life, and she began playing piano at the age of seven. She sang in church choirs from her teen years through adulthood until she became ill. She was a past member of the Delaware Valley Choral Society. While residing in Bucks County she attended Eddington Presbyterian Church where she sang in the choir, played in the bell choir, and taught Sunday School. After moving to Perry County, Nancy attended Bethany Methodist Church in Marysville, which was also her childhood church. She was a big lover of cats and volunteered regularly at the local PetSmart. Nancy enjoyed helping her husband, Melvin, in the vineyard and spending time with the grape customers and their children. Nancy is survived by her husband of 38 years, Melvin, son Jeff Salvesen and spouse Megan, grandsons Justin, Connor, and Kieran, stepdaughters Tonia Leonard and Krystal McCarthy, and step-grandchildren Morgan, Hanna, Harry, Sarah, and Max.
